This surgical illustration was created with consult from Dr. Harold Wu at the Johns Hopkins hospital. The procedure was robot-assisted. I had the privilege of observing Dr. Wu in the OR and created my initial sketches and notes there, which I iterated on and developed afterwards.
The final figure I rendered formatted for slide presentation and pictures the incision of the anterior and posterior leaves of the broad ligament as well as partial skeletonization of the vascular pedicle. I indicated with dashed lines where the vascular pedicle will be incised, ensuring preservation of distal vaginal branches.
